We’re back, GTA — transforming fashion, one thread at a time. The York Fair Fashion Festival is a BIPOC youth-led event rooted in community care, sustainability, and resistance to a system that exploits people and the planet. This all-ages gathering brings together youth, families, artists, organizers, and everyday people to imagine what a just, circular future can look like, starting with what we wear.

At FFF, we center the stories and leadership of Black, Indigenous, and racialized youth and women who are too often excluded from sustainability conversations, even though we’ve been doing the work all along. Through clothing swaps, mending zones, workshops, community quilting, and real talk with change-makers in the space, we’ll build skills, share stories, and take action together.

Join us for a creative and inspiring vision-boarding party where imagination meets activism! Participants will craft personalized vision boards in this hands-on workshop that depict their dreams for a fossil-fuel-free, feminist, and sustainable fashion future. This session will spark meaningful conversations and empower participants to transform their visions into action. This in-person event will feature engaging conversations, networking opportunities, and inspiring work from industry experts shaping the future of circularity. This is your chance to meet, mingle, and collaborate with leading voices in sustainable fashion, textile recycling, and climate-conscious innovation.

Join us in a deep dive discussion and reflection on the fashion policy landscape after two major conferences within the climate sector. This is the opportunity for consumers, civil society, and industry to come together and reflect on what was shared, discussed and presented, or lack thereof at NY Climate Week and Textile Exchange.

Our panelists will provide insights to the conferences and their key moments and leading discussion points that will provide insights into the discourse within the next year.

There will be a heightened attention to the US Election and the role of financing solutions and initiatives striving to address the climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss and/or ecological crises. There will be an opportunity for civil society and advocates who do not have the capabilities to be present at these round tables and within these spaces to discuss how to move forward and use these discussions to fuel policy action.

Get together with your friends, neighbors, and community members to swap wardrobes and divert clothes from overflowing landfills.

Join us and Patagonia on Thursday, August 29th for a community run to raise awareness about the social and environmental impacts of the fast fashion industry. We encourage consumers to become clothing changemakers, promoting the principles of slow fashion rather than merely consuming fashion. We will provide participants with posters to pin on the back of their shirts to write personal messages related to the fast fashion industry for the community to see.

Join Threading Change for this one hour session in the COP27 Green Zone as we showcase how 4 global non profit organizations have leveraged the power of the market, science based targets, and policy interventions to drive rapid change and impact in the apparel industry across various entities. From ancient old growth forest protection to youth engagement, to decarbonization pathways and collaborative policy approaches, the apparel industry is on a positive path with these organizations pushing them forward.

This session will explore how circular economy approaches can support climate change mitigation efforts. It will explore pathways to decarbonization through increased circularity, with case studies from key sectors. Experts from government, non-governmental organizations, and academia will discuss current efforts and best practices, and identify opportunities for further action on the circular economy to support climate ambition.

This panel discussion will be an opportunity to bring different sustainable fashion organizations together and deep dive into the intersections of this years Fashion Revolution theme's MONEY FASHION & POWER.
