How do our Clothing Swaps Work?

Clothing swaps are beautiful spaces for practicing slow fashion that foster a sense of community in local spaces while promoting accessibility and accountability within the fashion industry.

Participants are encouraged to bring anywhere from 1 to 20 items each for swap, receiving a ticket for every item they contribute. This simple system ensures attendees can take as many items as they bring, fostering a balanced and inclusive exchange experience.

The Rules are simple:

  • No socks, swimsuits, or underwear are permitted for swapping.

  • Cleaned jewelry items are eligible for swapping.

  • Our event is exclusively for clothing swapping, not for donations or drop-offs.

  • Please bring only washed, good-quality items; we reserve the right to refuse items at the door.

  • Consistent submission of poor-quality items may result in being turned away from future events.

How do our Clothing Swap Audits Work?

A clothing swap audit is a structured process used to quantify the amount and types of “clothing categories” being generated by an entity. Information from audits will help identify current purchasing and how they can be improved.

The audit will enable us to assess which types of clothing experience shorter lifespans in people’s closets. It serves as a method to collect data on the swapping trends we observe. The gathered data will be instrumental in guiding and enhancing our future events.

Before swapping items, swap attendees simply fill out this quick questionnaire, and voilà!
